Position Description:

You will be part of a highly functional team that is in charge of data administration, reporting, analytics, and system support for Verizon’s Corporate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) organization. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement data management strategies, build and deploy robust reporting and analytics, and offer technical support for associated systems and tools.

Important responsibilities will include:

• Developing a data management plan for all EHS systems.
• Data mining, cleansing, and validation to ensure data integrity.
• Monitoring EHS data security to ensure Verizon Data Privacy regulations are met.
• Improving analytic tools, reports, and dashboards to aid in data-driven decision-making.
• Methods for defining performance targets and monitoring the impact of EHS initiatives are being developed.
• Identifying and resolving data issues as quickly as possible in order to minimize consumer impact.
• Monitoring industry trends in EHS measurements, data collecting, and reporting in order to enhance these systems continuously.
• Developing ways to maximize the use of technology and data in order to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of EHS initiatives.
• Assisting with the deployment and maintenance of Verizon’s EHS SaaS (Enablon).
• Keeping up with Verizon’s EHS SaaS evolution and emerging technologies to inform decision-making.

You’ll need the following items:

• A bachelor’s degree or six years of work experience is required.
• Six years of relevant work experience is required.
• Willingness to travel for up to 25% of the time.
• Experience with relational database technologies of four years or more is required.
• Expertise in data mining, cleansing, analyzing, and migrating using SQL, Python, and analytic tools like Cognos, Qlik, and/or Power BI.

It’s even better if you have at least one of the following:

• A master’s degree in mathematics, data science, or computer science is required.
• C++,.NET, and Visual Basic programming knowledge is required.
• Enablon SaaS experience is required.
• EHS comprehension in the context of IT applications.
• EHS or quality management system experience (ISO 45001, 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 9001).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and so on) and Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.).
• Capability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced, iterative setting.
• Ability to operate both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, as well as the ability to build excellent working connections.
