Responsibilities:

For the extremely crucial F&A Cloud Transformation Program, a strong, self-driven IT lead applications developer with excellent communication and project management abilities is required.

Within the F&A Cloud Transformation Program, the Lead Applications Developer will oversee work sessions and application development initiatives. He or she will be expected to organize and direct work sessions that produce and put into practice solutions for our financial Oracle Cloud Infrastructure solutions. Running an Agile SCRUM is experience is a bonus.

The external Business Integrator and Systems Integrator suppliers, as well as the UPS IT and F&A teams, will all collaborate with the Lead Applications Developer. He or she will be in charge of overseeing technical solutions for secure systems and applications, including requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support. Planning and implementing the data conversion from legacy on-premises financial systems to cloud solutions are additional responsibilities. He or she will possess strong cloud platform expertise in addition to good leadership, problem-solving, communication, and planning skills. A must-have skill is the capacity to communicate often with senior management and function in a team environment.

To guarantee that delivery is completed on schedule and under budget, the Lead Applications Developer leads the full systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.). In order to meet business needs and assure compliance, he or she oversees the design of component and data architecture, technology planning, and testing for applications development (AD) efforts. In this role, project activities and integrations for AD are developed and led. Teams are led by the lead applications developer to enable efficient communication and goal fulfillment. He or she conducts study on new technology and encourages their inclusion. This position offers expertise and help for the creation, insertion, and upkeep of apps. Junior team members will be guided by the lead applications developer through project-related tasks and activities. He or she directs and has an impact on project and departmental teams. Requirements:

Minimum requirements:

  • Knowledge of Linux, Linux Scripting, Agile Development, SQL, and PL/SQL
  • Knowledge of the technologies available on the Google Cloud Platform, such as GCP BigQuery, Spanner, Cloud Run, Cloud Data Fusion, and GCP Storage
  • Knowledge of the design, migration, testing, implementation, and configuration of services inside the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including robustness across regions
  • GCP Pub/Sub knowledge and CI/CD pipeline experience are advantages.
  • Oracle ERP Cloud experience is a bonus.
  • Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) knowledge is an asset.
  • Having knowledge of implementing suitable security policies for sensitive financial data in both on-premises and cloud contexts
  • Having practical experience with programs that are subject to Sarbanes Oxley IT controls
  • Understanding of secure development practices Understanding of security measures for on-premises and public cloud projects
  • Strong technical and business expertise in financial systems is a bonus.
  • Skills in technical/analytical analysis, collaboration with teams, decision-making, problem-solving, and people management that have been demonstrated
  • Excellent communication skills in both writing and spoken
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field, or the equivalent combination of training and experience
