Position Description:

As an Electrical Lab Technician, you will assist in the construction of prototypes, PCBA assembly, rework, and troubleshooting. You will also be in charge of keeping the electronic lab stocked with the necessary equipment and materials. We are searching for an experienced EE technician that has great hand soldering skills and can work with fine pitch and small package components.

Important Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in small engineering labs is required.
• Basic knowledge of analog/digital circuitry.
• Based on minimal instruction, the ability to execute electrical rework and mechanical assembly.
• Capable of testing/validating/debugging finished reworks/assemblies with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, impedance analyzers, and other similar tools.
• Ability to rework, repair, and change SMT PCBs as small as 0201/01005.
• Outstanding debugging, optimization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Working experience with Apple computers running OSX.
• Passion, effort, honesty, and great ability.
• Team player with strong oral, writing, and negotiating skills.
• willingness to gain new skills and competence to do so

Responsibilities:

• Help in the development of prototypes.
• Assist engineers in determining the root cause of failures.
• Understanding of schematics and management of the sourcing of rapid turn prototype boards.
• Browse PCB layout files and, if necessary, write comprehensive rework instructions.
• Analyze data in Excel/numbers and show data clearly.
• Advocate for safety, security, and quality.
• Arrange and keep important components on hand for quick prototyping.
• Handle several tight deadlines.
• Be able to collaborate across many teams to complete tasks.
• Carry out difficult reworks and/or alterations on circuit boards or goods.
  Education and Work Experience
  Technical AS/BS or comparable work experience preferable.
