Position Description

BigCommerce, a leading e-commerce platform, is seeking an experienced IT Audit Manager. The company is rapidly expanding across the globe and is passionate about growing its employees’ careers. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on IT SOX compliance activities. The position reports to the Sr. Director of Internal Audit and is currently an individual contributor role. The candidate must collaborate closely with the CIO office to ensure that SOX compliance requirements are adequately addressed for changes in IT systems and processes.

Responsibilities

– Perform process and control assessments for changes in IT systems and processes, including design adequate IT general controls, application controls, and segregation of duties.
– Perform SOX scoping exercises to determine what should be in scope for SOX purposes.
– Facilitate IT management’s documentation updates and management assessments of all in-scope IT processes based on SOX requirements.
– Document results of audit work in accordance with the Internal Audit Department and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
– Provide regular updates regarding the status of the SOX testing plans, the issues identified, and solutions to address identified deficiencies.
– Research and stay current on new technical literature applicable to the internal controls process, emerging trends, and best practices.

Qualifications

– BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
– Professional certification CPA or CIA with additional IT audit certifications such as CISA and CISM.
– 8+ years of IT audit experience with 3+ years as a manager.
– Proficient in IT general controls, application controls, IT infrastructure security and controls.
