Responsibilities:
A Flight Operations (Aviation Management) intern will support the achievement of divisional objectives and contribute to Delta Air Lines’ overall success. Interns will collaborate with a particular team, such as the Chief Pilot Office or Line Operations, among others. All interns are expected to work together to accomplish a team assignment that will be delivered to Flight Operations Leadership at the end of the semester, even though each student will be given unique tasks.
The option to learn about additional departments, including but not limited to Technical Operations, In-Flight Service, Operations Customer Center, and Flight Safety, will be available to interns.
This is a paid internship that comes with extra benefits including off-duty standby travel anywhere in the Delta system. At Delta’s global headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, interns will work.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s program in a field related to aviation management.
- Must be able to commit to the whole internship period, which runs from January 8 through April 19.
- Work must be done on-site in the Atlanta, Georgia, office.
- Be in good academic standing with your university and have a competitive GPA.
- Ideally, they would like to work in the area of aviation management.
- Show proficiency in abilities such as data collecting and analysis, reading and summarizing new legislation, and quick problem-solving, among others.
- Must possess in-depth understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Smartsheet.
- Outstanding communication abilities, the ability to quickly solve challenging problems, and the ability to retain discretion when handling sensitive material.
- Shows that protecting privacy is a top consideration while working with personal data.
- Consistently puts the security and safety of oneself, others, and personal information first.
- Embraces varied people, ideas, and ways of doing things.
- Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
- Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
