This summer, TPAPT, a nationwide network of more than 12,000 independently run tutoring and college advising programs, is seeking College Essay Camp Instructors to lead seven-day online essay camps. In your capacity as a remote college essay camp instructor, you will mentor and assist high school students in writing engaging college essays.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with students, you will assist them in coming up with ideas, creating compelling thesis statements, and editing and revising their essays to make them more impactful and clear. The ideal applicant is passionate about assisting kids in succeeding, possesses exceptional writing and editing skills, and has previously taught a summer essay camp.

Place: Seclusion

Payment: $65 to $75 per hour

Contract is the classification (1099)

Work: Eight hours per week

Type of Tutoring: Online, College Essay

Requirements:

MA or MFA in Creative Writing, English, or a Related Field.
Two years of previous experience coaching college essays for pay.
A thorough understanding of the writing prompts for the Common Application
strong editing and writing abilities.
understanding of current trends in college admissions and best methods for writing college essays.
Capacity to offer students advice and constructive criticism.
outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
