Position Description:
Bring your design expertise to the forefront nationwide HIV public health communications campaign to make a long-lasting and beneficial influence on people’s lives. You will be a part of a dynamic team of designers in this position who are committed to enhancing the lives of HIV-affected individuals and communities, with a focus on HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and stigma. You will create a variety of print and digital communication products for brands. Designing posters, palm cards, infographics, publications, brochures, social media graphics, toolkits, presentations, and commercials are examples of typical assignments.
Accountabilities:
- Create print communication concepts and materials in response to the client’s communication objectives.
- Respect all set timeframes and financial constraints.
- Create diagrams, drawings, and infographics.
- rapidly and accurately enter modifications.
- Explain the thinking behind design decisions in client presentations and written contact.
- Prepare presentation comps and mockups.
- Working with print vendors, prepare files that are print-ready as necessary.
- To record project planning, milestones, updates, and file close-out, use project management software.
- Assess project milestones with art directors, project managers, and/or vendors.
- Throughout the project, collaborate with clients, establish rapport, and foster successful working relationships.

- Maintain project archives in accordance with the defined file format and organization

Knowledge & Skills Put to Use:
- Must have a solid foundation in print design, exhibit a perfect sense of typography, and be an adept at converting data into information visuals.
- Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of design concepts and have a strong concept-driven portfolio.
- a good mix between productivity and conceptual skills.
- advanced proficiency with the software programs of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and the Microsoft Office suite) (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- An advantage would be having knowledge of remote collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, Dropbox, Monday.com, Zoom, etc.
- shown capacity to function both individually and in a group.
- Key is having the ability to grow client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking.
- Outstanding time management skills are a must, as well as the ability to thrive in a diverse, dynamic collaborative studio environment.
- Knowledge of coding for Section 508 compliance is a bonus.
- HTML, illustration, motion graphics, and video production know-how are pluses.
- English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required.
