A qualified grant writer with previous experience assisting the higher education and/or healthcare sectors is needed by our higher education client. In charge of looking up funding opportunities and drafting grant applications. taking part in both short- and long-term strategic planning for research initiatives and grant making.

Responsibilities:

A background in research and the capacity to communicate intricate scientific concepts in a way that a wide audience can comprehend and find inspiring are requirements for our ideal applicant. Moreover, knowledge of writing for charitable causes (advancement/development sectors).

• Write proposal letters, grant applications, grant reports, and letters of inquiry.
• Examine proposal drafts, along with the budget, any supporting documents, and project narratives.
• Act as the department’s or university’s representative in negotiations with funding organizations.
• Possibility of extra assistance with marketing, events, public relations, and general communications (as needed)

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree
• Five or more years of experience in a comparable role
• Prior fundraising experience for non-profits
• Knowledge of Project Management Instruments
• A track record of success in creating substantial science grants, which are preferred, for a variety of sponsor agencies.
• Outstanding editing, proofreading, and writing abilities
• Capacity to convert intricate ideas from proposals spanning multiple disciplines into a common language that both academic and general readers can understand.
