Responsibilities:
- Summary of obligations (not all duties are included)
- Become familiar with the regulations and the divisional compliance standards.
- Aiding departments in creating their emergency action plans
- Help with the Corporate Safety Policies and Procedures Manual (SPPM) review and update
- As required, assist the OSHA program team with ongoing activities.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- Currently enrolled graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in fire and life safety, occupational safety, or a similar discipline.
- Strong familiarity with NFPA 101, OSHA 29 CFR 1910, and emergency management.
- Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
- Must be able to work productively with common Microsoft Office tools and have a fundamental understanding of smart sheets.
- Consistently puts the security and safety of oneself, others, and personal information first.
- Embraces varied people, ideas, and ways of doing things.
- Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
- Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
WHAT (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS) WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE
- Experience applying and interpreting OSHA 29 CFR 1910 regulations; preferably carries an OSHA 30 General Industry card.
- Experience in creating emergency action plans.
- Knowledge of organizing fire drills.
