Responsibilities:
- Oversee work schedules and provide daily direction, supervision, career and skill development, for a group of Delta managers, contributors, and technicians.
- Serve as the principal technical point of contact for matters relating to airports, such as airport planning, building maintenance, facilities standards, capital planning, contracting for services, and project management.
- Create and evaluate budgets, business cases, timetables, timeframes, and reports for operational tasks as well as projects managed by Delta and the airport.
- Work with third-party vendors and managers of building systems, maintenance and cleaning services, security, environmental protection, and safety to make sure the airline’s operating demands are addressed quickly and effectively.
- Define Delta’s facilities requirements and oversee capital planning activities and projects by providing advice and technical support.
- Maintaining connections with the ACS, Marketing, Network, Cargo, Technical Operations, Finance, Legal, and other business units will help you better understand operational needs, the impact they have on customer service, and financial requirements that will help you make profitable business decisions.
- Obtain design and construction services using best practices, and make sure all Delta policies and procedures are followed.
- To execute projects, organize and oversee real estate experts, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Lead the implementation of DeltaWorks at DTW, Corporate Real Estate’s integrated approach for facility operations, space planning, design, and construction activities, enhancing the level of service for each employee working at DTW airport.
- Contracts should be negotiated to produce desired outcomes that benefit the organization and are in line with financial budgets.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM)
- 10+ years of experience working professionally in airport operations, facilities upkeep, or design and building
- Strong connection management and leadership skills
- A track record of managing substantial frontline staff or contracted service providers
- Professional communication, both written and spoken
- A want to support a 24-hour-a-day, 365-day operation
- Experience creating strong corporate cultures, as well as fostering effective teams and team members
- A willingness to work collaboratively and the capacity to collaborate with many internal stakeholders, such as ACS, Cargo, OBS, Flight Operations, In Flight Services, Legal, IT, Safety, Environmental, and Security, among others, are essential.

- Holds a high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent qualification.
- Possesses legal permission to work in the US and is at least 18 years old.
