OUR SEARCH IS FOR

  • We are seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer with experience in both web frontend and backend development to join our team in developing Lumosity, our flagship product for consumers.
  • You will collaborate closely with engineering colleagues in this position to architect software systems and create widely used applications. Additionally, you will frequently communicate with stakeholders, designers, product managers, and subject matter experts.
  • The ideal applicant is passionate about cognitive health and wellbeing, has experience launching many software products that are utilized by big audiences, and uses a variety of technical architectures and languages.

Responsibilities:

  • The majority of this work involves actual coding.
  • Take the lead in making decisions on the design of the system and code.
  • Take the lead in defining the implementation specifics (the how) by collaborating with technical colleagues to produce plans and documents that describe the process of developing, testing, and delivering the product to clients.
  • Our product is implemented using TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node.js, and AWS hosting technology.
  • Engage in partnerships with product managers, stakeholders, and business leaders to assist the business and product team in defining software requirements (the what).
  • Contribute your expertise to the team’s decision-making process regarding system and code design inside our current tech stack environment.
  • Using your years of experience as a mentor and guide on subjects like software system architecting solutions, coding best practices, task breakdown from requirements, effort estimation, and consistently fulfilling expectations will help colleagues become more proficient.
  • Increase your knowledge and abilities by cooperating with teammates who have different backgrounds, levels of experience, and domain knowledge.
  • Interact with coworkers, partners both inside and outside the company, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in agile, continuously-improving development processes and provide guidance.

  • Substantial experience in the field, probably 15 years or longer
  • Completed numerous software projects utilizing a range of technologies
  • Expertise developing high-volume, high-performing software solutions for a big user base
  • Significant experience working in a diverse team to successfully launch software products; a group of peer colleagues lifting the entire group; significant expertise utilizing a strongly typed language
