Responsibilities:

Your duties will also include all other general accounting and bookkeeping duties, as well as the establishment and maintenance of the company’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and projects. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a part-time contract that can become a permanent one in Fairlawn, Ohio.

After properly trained, this opportunity has the potential to become hybrid or remote.

What you get to do every day: Complete the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closure accurately and on time; file records to preserve historical information; and prepare the trial balance and financial statements, including the balance sheet and statements of income and cash flows.

  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processing duties, including collections
  • Updating knowledge of current local, state, and federal laws, enforcing compliance with them, writing reports, and informing management of necessary measures. Payroll processing, general ledger reconciliation, and bank reconciliation

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision is required. Excel and Peachtree skills are preferred.
  • Experience with Monthly Close is recommended.
  • Understanding of Yearly Budget, practical experience with budget forecasting, mastery of Quickbooks Online, familiarity with account reconciliation, knowledge of budgeting, and prior work with bank reconciliations
  • Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation is highly regarded
  • Preferable Accounts Receivable (AR) expertise
  • Previous experience with bank account reconciliation; – Practical experience in preparing financial statements
  • Strong Accounts Payable (AP) familiarity – Strong preference for QuickBooks experience
  • Preferable Accounts Receivable (AR) expertise
  • Proven payroll expertise – Basic understanding of monthly financial statements
  • Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is preferred
    Experience reviewing financial statements is preferred.
  • Prior journal entry experience – Solid comprehension of bank reconciliations – Prefer experience with payroll
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in bookkeeping – Comprehensive knowledge of accrual and cash foundation of accounting – Proven multitasking and interpersonal communication skills with people from all walks of life
    High school certificate, equivalent certification, and an AA degree or higher in accounting or business are recommended. – Ability to analyze financial data and provide accurate reports in a timely way.
    Good organizational abilities with a drive to get things done and the ability to prioritize many activities. Flexibility to adjust to changes in policies and job responsibilities.
