Daily tasks will consist of:
- Organizes the annual and long-term budgeting and forecasting processes and aids in the collection of budget and forecast data from the Program Management, Business Development, and Support Units.
- is the primary point of contact for questions about the budget and forecast from Program Management Units (PMUs).
- Supports Program Management Units with the use of financial management tools and budget monitoring, including leading training sessions to improve financial management skills, creating risk mitigation plans, and providing direction on project financial controls and compliance.
- performs various financial studies and contributes to the development of analytical models in order to improve decision-making.
- locates areas for process improvement.
- reports on the budget vs. actual are given to management for decision-making.
- on the Chief Operating Officer’s request, aid in the creation of reports for the Board of Directors.
- participates in the implementation of financial software.
- oversees the management of certain private money allocations.
- keeps financial dashboards up to date.
- other management responsibilities and/or unique projects as needed.

THE QUALIFICATIONS WE SEEK INCLUDE:
- BA/BS in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Financial analysis and budgeting job experience of at least seven years must be relevant.
- knowledge of planning and analyzing finances in a nonprofit environment.
- advanced knowledge of computer technology, notably Excel and MS Office. Power BI and SharePoint knowledge are desirable.
- demonstrated aptitude for quickly picking up and using new systems.
- strong analytical and data analysis abilities, as well as the capacity to manage massive data volumes.
- strong written and spoken communication abilities, including facilitating presentations and training sessions.
- Must be able to work independently, multitask, and be a team player while being detail-oriented.
- General understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
