Position Description

Axon is looking for an experienced Mobile iOS Engineer to join its software development team. At Axon, the mission is to protect life, and as part of the company’s ecosystem of devices and cloud software, you will contribute to the pursuit of critical safety and justice issues. As an experienced engineer, you will be involved in shaping the architecture decisions and building services that adhere to high standards of availability and latency. You will work with the latest open source technologies, and mentor other engineers as they maintain the company’s system that needs to be bullet-proof.

Responsibilities

– Lead engineering architecture design reviews
– Set high technical standards for the team through code and architecture design reviews
– Mentor and up-level other engineers
– Work with product, design, and engineering teams to create integrated solutions for customers
– Build services that adhere to high standards for availability and latency
– Improve engineering processes, including long-term thinking, sprint planning, and stand-ups
– Work with the latest open-source technologies

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
– More than six years of professional software development experience
– Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems
– Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar
– Experience with SQL or NoSQL data stores
– Experience with Java, Golang or Scala programming is a plus
