TalkingPoints is seeking a creative and exceptionally well-organized Event Planner (Contractor) to oversee prosperous and remarkable events. This position will support the design and implementation of events, ranging from regional to national trade fairs, and will report to the Solutions Engineer in collaboration with the Marketing and Sales departments. For someone who is meticulous, good at multitasking, and able to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, this is the perfect opportunity.
It is anticipated that this four-month contract will need up to 25 hours of work per week from the contractor. The cost is $35–40 per hour, with flexible hours; however, meetings involving the Event Planner must take place during regular office hours.In this position, you’ll:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the organization of all event logistics, such as booth setup and breakdown, supplier management for print and promotional materials, and registration submissions.
- As needed, oversee venue locations and catering.
- Create and maintain event schedules, keep tabs on spending, and settle bills.
- Collaborate with participants to guarantee the success of activities and minimize any hazards.
Requirements:
- You’ve planned numerous successful events with attendance ranging from a few hundred to several thousand people, and you have project management experience.
- You are very well-organized, have good time management abilities, and can multitask.
- You’ve dealt with trade show merchants before.
- You possess excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- You have an inventive and creative mind.
- You have expertise writing detailed run-of-show paperwork and thorough arrangements for big events, and you pay close attention to detail.
