Job Description: As an Engineering Department Intern, you will gain exposure to various engineering disciplines related to EV Batteries. This internship offers the opportunity to work on CAD design, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to prototype development.

Responsibilities:

  • Use CAD software to create 3D models and 2D drawings for workstations and tooling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
  • Assist in bringing designs from concept to prototype.
  • Provide technical support during prototype development, addressing design challenges.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing workstation and tooling designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to ensure designs meet performance criteria.
  • Work with mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineers for component integration.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Create comprehensive design documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university with a focus on Engineering.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing various physical tasks.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
