Job Description: As an Engineering Department Intern, you will gain exposure to various engineering disciplines related to EV Batteries. This internship offers the opportunity to work on CAD design, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to prototype development.
Responsibilities:
- Use CAD software to create 3D models and 2D drawings for workstations and tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
- Assist in bringing designs from concept to prototype.
- Provide technical support during prototype development, addressing design challenges.
- Evaluate and optimize existing workstation and tooling designs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to ensure designs meet performance criteria.
- Work with mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineers for component integration.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Create comprehensive design documentation.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university with a focus on Engineering.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing various physical tasks.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
