Responsibilities:
L2 Engineer
- Keeps up with daily airline operations that affect their area of responsibility
- Evaluates each day’s priorities in light of airline/departmental goals and management directives
- Investigates aircraft/component issues that could result in delays or cancellations of flights, significant outlays of labor or materials, or interruptions of maintenance operations, and decides on the necessary corrective measures.
- In order to resolve erroneous circumstances affecting aircraft or components and return them to a serviceable state, engineering support is provided as needed.
- Responds to requests for technical support from Maintenance and other airline departments when necessary to support initiatives or address issues
- Creates action plans for engineering tasks involving a fleet, multiple fleets, or components, and pursues resolutions in accordance with prioritized assessments.
- When necessary, coordinates with other airline departments to ensure that engineering dispositions are implemented effectively and efficiently.
- Creating specialized repair, modification, inspection, or other maintenance processes that are beneficial in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management instructions to apply technical dispositions
- Maintains awareness of ongoing and upcoming regulations that have an impact on the areas of responsibility, and makes sure that all engineering efforts continue to be in conformity with those rules.
- Uses resources available to continuously raise levels of technical proficiency and practical experience
- Work schedules and hours may vary, and travel is possible.
L3 Engineer
Please refer to Engineer L2’s primary job duties. Additionally, this job does the following:
- Guarantees that Engineering dispositions are correctly substantiated in compliance with applicable laws and company manuals, and coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory agencies as necessary.
- Creates specialized guidelines and procedures for maintenance tasks that are not properly covered by current manuals, such as repairs, modifications, inspections, service, and other maintenance actions.
- Aims to enhance interpersonal abilities such as communication and time management in order to complete tasks with the utmost efficacy and efficiency.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements include education and previous work experience.
- Engineering bachelor’s degree or a closely comparable degree
- Two years’ experience in the field
Prior work experience and education are preferred qualifications.
- 3 to 6 years of engineering experience with aviation systems or a similar field
- Working knowledge of writing, editing, and producing Engineering Orders (EOs), Maintenance Evaluation Team (MET) Projects, and Engineering Authorizations (EAs)
- Knowing WDM, AMM, IPC, TSM, CFRs, maintenance programs, and
Knowledge, Permits, and Certifications
- Having familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Superior analytical, technical writing, problem-solving, communication, planning, and organizational abilities
- A capacity for pressured work
- Must possess self-motivation and strict work ethics.
