Position Description

Ameresco, a leading cleantech integrator and renewable energy asset developer, is looking for an experienced Energy Efficiency Construction Manager. The Construction Manager is expected to provide daily construction, administrative and technical management of renewable construction projects delivering energy savings for public, institutional and commercial customers. The position may require travel to various locations, and the candidate will be responsible for meeting quality control, budgeting, and customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewable construction projects
• Work with Senior Project Manager in offering administrative and technical assistance
• Ensure compliance with company’s financial and revenue policies, along with project set up rules
• Act as the primary intermediary between Operations and Business office
• Interface with Ameresco’s customers to manage customer service, relationships, and contractual obligations
• Help Engineering and Development team design and develop projects
• Provide a detailed 2-week look schedule to facilitate customer coordination and planning
• Play an active role in managing expenditures and job cost accounting processes
• Handle vendor bids and subcontractor selection
• Meet and exceed customer expectations for project delivery in terms of quality and timeliness
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, practices, and codes

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years industrial power, electrical/solar, mechanical, or engineering construction project management experience
• Strong knowledge and work experience in energy plants with experience in Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Construction, and within an industrial environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent project management skills
• Advanced technical, industry-related training preferred
• Knowledge and work experience with safety regulations, mechanical and electrical systems development, project management practices, and codes
• Strong written, verbal, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills
• Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
• The ability to forge positive business relationships
• Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project
• A valid driver’s license
