To join our product team, Discovery Education is seeking a contract eLearning Designer. The person in this role will collaborate closely with our professional learning team, which develops engaging synchronous and asynchronous professional development opportunities for educators utilizing Discovery Education products. The ideal applicant will have prior experience creating dynamic, highly engaging adult learning experiences with Articulate (Storyline, Rise). Furthermore, the eLearning designer needs to be highly skilled at using narrative to produce brief yet captivating films with Vyond and other similar tools. Magnit Global is offering remote, part-time work, so it is imperative that you have the capacity to operate in a virtual, fast-paced setting.
This job is contract-based and part-time.
Responsibilities:
The following are the main duties of an eLearning designer for professional development:
- Instructional Design: Using adult learning theory and sound instructional design concepts, create educational resources such as interactive simulations, e-learning modules, films, tests, and other multimedia components.
- Content Development: In order to create interesting and dynamic eLearning content that meets learner needs and established goals, work with subject matter experts to examine learning objectives and content requirements.
- Multimedia Production: To develop visually appealing and interactive learning experiences, use graphic design software, multimedia authoring tools, and video editing platforms. As needed, incorporate animations, graphics, audio, and video elements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in creating captivating and useful adult e-learning programs.
- strong background in learning technology, multimedia development, and instructional design.
- Proficiency in graphic design and good visual design skills; experience in eLearning design and development; a robust portfolio featuring multimedia material and eLearning projects.
- solid understanding of the principles of adult learning.
- a bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, instructional design, or a similar discipline; a comparable mix of training and professional experience will also be taken into account.
Substantial expertise and sophisticated abilities utilizing the following:
- Clear Storyline Videond (or a comparable program for creating videos)
- The Creative Suite from Adobe
- Microsoft programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication abilities.
- The capacity to prioritize and handle several tasks.
- The ability to work legally in the US
