Responsibilities

– Lead quarterly and annual tax reporting process and maintain relationships with accounting teams and external auditors
– Ensure compliance with US, Australian, and international tax laws, regulations, and other domestic/international needs
– Work with foreign operations on local tax matters, such as VAT, income tax, and withholding tax
– Manage indirect tax compliance and risks, advise on employment tax, and lead global projects, review tax opportunities, and optimize tax operations
– Research and prepare tax documentation to support tax positions
– Actively monitor transfer pricing policies and related documents, develop trends, and advise on the best-practice procedures
– Create strategic tax planning and recommend tax policies and procedures
– Provide operational excellence through process improvement and technology transformation.
– Stay knowledgeable of current and proposed tax laws and analyze their impact on the company.

Qualifications

– Minimum 8 years related experience with combined Big 4 public accounting and industry-related experience
– Ability to conduct thorough tax research
– Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational management
– Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
– Experience in a fast-moving, high-growth environment, and ability to respond quickly to unanticipated challenges and opportunities
– Excellent oral and written communication skills with the capacity to communicate complex subject matter to leadership, peers, and other levels in the firm
– Extremely well-organized and capable of managing work requirements to meet reporting deadlines

We offer a competitive incentive plan in addition to the salary range of $160,000.00 – $180,000.00, which is based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills. The role is also qualified for the employee bonus plan and employee stock options.
