Since this position is remote, the person will work from home frequently and won’t have a set workspace at a workplace the company designates.
The duties of the Digital Media Intern are to provide general support to the editorial and social media teams at Marvel.com.

Responsibilities:

Help the editorial and social media teams with all elements of their work, including content production, project management, page moderating, strategy, and more, such as:

  • Participate in meetings and brainstorm to help with strategy and contribute original ideas
  • Assistance with planning, organizing, and creating content
  • Look up Marvel’s past and speech to use in social media posts.
  • Assemble data for reporting and graphic analytics and social media metrics.
  • Editing and writing profiles and articles for publication on Marvel.com
  • Work with the editorial team to identify content opportunities that will engage and excite audiences.
  • Create timeless content and/or news articles.
  • Curate and arrange photo resources that are web and social media optimized.
  • Assigned additional work-related tasks or projects.

Requirements:

Basic requirements:

  • Passion for comic books, pop culture, or the Marvel brand.
  • Possessing a high level of discretion and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail, superior writing, editing, and grammar skills, and familiarity with AP style.
  • Interest in and technical knowledge of the main social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Being aware of and capable of following tight brand requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, as well as the capacity to work professionally with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be proactive and function effectively in a group setting.
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects at once, and adhere to strict deadlines. Resourcefulness and organization.
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Design, photography, and video talents are pluses.

Preferred credentials:

  • Additional internships, degrees obtained, employment experience, relevant clubs and organizations, the current major course of study, the anticipated graduation date, and extracurricular activities must all be listed on the resume.

Necessary education

  • By the arrival date be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, ideally pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or writing.
  • Junior or Senior status in an undergraduate program by the date of arrival is preferable.

This internship in New York is paid at a cost of $15 per hour.

Additional Details:

Eligibility for an internship

  • Prior to participating in the internship program, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and take at least one class during the relevant semester or quarter (spring or fall).
  • Age requirement of at least 18 years.
  • Must not have worked continuously for a year on a Disney internship or program.
  • a valid work permit with no restrictions
  • All applicants must be capable of maintaining a dependable, constant work schedule throughout the session.

Programming Dates:

  • Everyone running for office must be accessible from January through June 2023.
  • Each applicant must be able to work a minimum of 21 to 29 hours per week from Monday through Friday during regular business hours (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor)
  • Every student is required to provide a regular, dependable work schedule during the term.

Environment of Work: This internship is conducted remotely. Both a functional, dependable internet connection and a quiet, assigned workspace are necessary for the internship.
