The Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy is in charge of ensuring that visitors to CVS.com receive a consistent experience from marketing communications. In this role, you will define and drive CVS Pharmacy’s online personalization strategy, as well as lead the development of compelling experiences that pay off marketing communications by attracting, inspiring, engaging, and converting prospective customers. To plan and deliver seamless web experiences across the customer journey, this role requires close collaboration with digital developers and MarTech teams. A strong track record of leading the strategy and execution of complex, cross-functional web programs in a results-driven environment is required. You have a data-driven mindset, take a customer-centric approach to problem solving, and have a strong understanding of how data drives impact.

Expertise in gathering, interpreting, and acting on data from various sources, deriving insights that lead to game changing ideas, developing the prioritization and strategic direction for web optimization, leading on-site customer journey mapping while driving personalization, producing executive level dashboards and reporting are all skills and experiences that will define success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Strategy Creation:

  • Develop, design, and manage the web strategy for key pharmacy landing pages and experiences, including development, design, content, conversion rate optimization (CRO), testing and experimentation, and UX enhancements that drive acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Insights and Measurement: Using data, insights, and cross-functional partnerships (Analytics, Digital, and Consumer Insights), we can gain a deep understanding of our customers and patients and use that knowledge to inform site strategy.
  • Work with Analytics to create a clear measurement framework, define key performance indicators (KPIs), track and analyze website performance, and manage forecasts.
  • Analyze and monitor page performance and user behavior across all site landing pages, generate data-driven hypotheses that inform strategies, and identify areas for improvement in the customer experience.
  • Develop, refine, and implement web optimization and experimentation processes to increase team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the content marketing team on SEO initiatives and content opportunities that will improve the visibility and performance of the website.
  • Use personalization capabilities to create digital experiences that are tailored to specific audiences and channels.

Motivate Results:

  • Drive continuous performance improvement by creating an ongoing experimentation roadmap that is aligned with both short-term and long-term opportunities.
  • Actively cultivate trusted relationships across a large, complex organization in order to establish clear goals, accountability, and outcomes, with a particular emphasis on Digital, Media, Creative, and Agency partners.

Team Management:

  • Develop top performers and marketing athletes by mentoring and coaching a team. This includes defining roles and responsibilities, establishing accountability, and providing performance feedback.

Pay Scale

The typical salary range for this position is: maximum: 162,700 Minimum: 75,400

Please keep in mind that this range represents the average pay for all positions in the job grade in which this position is located. The actual salary offer will consider a variety of factors, including location.

Requirements:

Qualifications Required

  • Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects from strategy to execution.
  • Hands-on experience with web tools (CMS, A/B Testing, site analytics, and business intelligence tools), specifically Adobe products such as Analytics, Target, and AEM.
  • Capable of leading hypothesis-driven A/B tests, experiment design, and large-scale experimentation.
  • Technical aspects of website management include UX, SEO, domain management, and HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and the interaction of site architecture and content to deliver organic traffic performance is required.
  • Prior experience working with an external agency partner with the ability to provide strategic direction, feedback, and ensure creative is delivered on time and on budget.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Working knowledge of a matrixed organization

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as CSS or HTML is required.

  • Experience with omni-channel marketing, digital marketing, and an understanding of both paid and owned assets

Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing, Business Analytics, or a related field.
