We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our fast expanding team of engineers and blockchain enthusiasts.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be in charge of running and maintaining the Subspace Network’s backend blockchain infrastructure, which is built on top of bare metal services, virtual machines, and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Utilizing infrastructure as code concepts to create well-defined, maintainable routines.
  • Monitoring and observability are used to ensure reliable operation.
  • By automating CI/CD and other development operations, you can educate and empower the remaining members of the engineering team.
  • Maintaining incident response and post-mortem analysis procedures for good site dependability

Requirements:

  • Working extensively with networking, virtualization, and containerization technologies on Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of setting up and running Linux bare metal servers, virtual machines, and production Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience in deploying cloud-native tooling to production environments, including Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics+Grafana, ArgoCD, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of blockchains and a track record of successfully maintaining blockchain node infrastructure (validator, bootstrap, RPC).
  • Be proactive and eager to assist engineers to maintain productivity in a fully remote environment.
  • At least one programming language under your belt.
  • A love of Web3 technology and decentralized, peer-to-peer networks.
  • Knowledge of the TypeScript and Rust programming languages as well as associated tooling is an added bonus.
  • Familiarity with the Polkadot ecosystem and Substrate.
  • Presenting at conferences and meetups, actively contributing to the development of DevOps/SRE-related tooling in the Open Source community.
