Responsibilities:
- Enable and expand self-serve analytics for every member of the Fleetio team. Using technologies such as dbt, you will model data and metrics to create clean data sets, enabling staff members to make informed decisions based on data.
- Work along with other Fleetians across the organization to comprehend data requirements and make sure the necessary data is gathered, modeled, and made available to team members.
- By developing operational data products and providing analytics and insights, you may collaborate with internal stakeholders to support them in making data-driven decisions.
- Oversee the creation of dashboards and reporting for particular business divisions, including engineering, sales, marketing, finance, and product. In order to advance self-service analytics, you will also utilize your own work to mentor and counsel Fleetians around the organization on how to build their own dashboards and reports.
- Participate in standard-setting and governance pertaining to our data infrastructure. Record best practices and provide guidance on data modeling, SQL query optimization, reusability, and other related topics to other data analysts, product managers, engineers, and so forth.

Requirements:
- Two or more years of experience in a data engineering or analytics capacity
- Expert-level SQL proficiency with knowledge of optimizing code, troubleshooting and enhancing the code of others, and converting unclean data into clean models
- Solid comprehension of data warehousing, ELT, and data modeling (e.g., Star Schema) concepts
- Knowledge about DBT and DBT Cloud
- Familiarity with BigQuery, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Familiarity with version control systems like Github or Gitlab
- Familiarity with ELT software, such as Fivetran or Airbyte
- Familiarity with Tableau, Sisense/Periscope, Looker, and Metabase business intelligence solutions
- Experience working with many stakeholders and business functions to create KPIs and important insights
- Familiarity with orchestration tools like Prefect or Dagster
- Knowledge of the schemas for well-known third-party SaaS programs (such as Salesforce, Marketo, Snowplow, and Segment).
- Outstanding project management and communication abilities with a customer service-oriented perspective
