Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional teams to support product needs for the introduction, testing, and debugging of new hardware platforms for the Mac, iPhone, iPad, AppleWatch, AppleTV, and AppleTV.
• Create drivers and firmware.
• Drive functional/industry requirements and product attributes.
• Involvement in hardware platform specifications.

Requirements:

• An actual love of embedded development
• Highly skilled in C++
• Having knowledge of JTAG and other debuggers
• Writing embedded device drivers in the past bringing up platforms or porting operating systems in the past exposure to hardware and processor simulation
• Knowledge of CPU architectures and hardware platforms
• Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and critical, creative thinking
• Highly competent and able to complete task with proven results under pressure
• Excellent teamwork abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Knowledge & Experience

• A master’s degree in computer science (recommended), a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
