Position Description

BHG Financial is looking for a Compliance Manager ready to join an award-winning culture of highly-skilled, licensed professionals. As the Compliance Manager, you will manage client relationships and accounts, conduct meetings with clients, review issues, and write testing engagement reports. Your responsibilities also include developing testing programs, billing, and progress reports against a predetermined timeline.

Qualifications

– 5+ years of relevant work experience
– Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying federal and state laws and regulations and guidance or operational risk principles/concepts
– Advanced knowledge of testing techniques and data analysis principles
– Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management
– Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience:

– Consulting and/or advisory experience with community banks
– 7 – 10 years of relevant experience within a banking, insurance, or other financial services industry
– 5+ years of relevant experience independently testing for compliance and/or operational risks or auditing
– Familiarity with the execution of Second Line of Defense compliance and/or operational risk testing, including compliance risk management principles
– CPA, CIA, CISA, CFSA, CFE, CRCM
– Ability to present complex ideas in a clearly articulated, easy to understand format
– Willingness to adapt and respond appropriately to new demands, priorities, challenges, and obstacles
– Knowledge in building, testing, and evaluating the adequacy of internal control design and operating effectiveness

Responsibilities

– Oversee testing engagement management, including budget management, developing testing programs, billing, and progress reports against a predetermined timeline
– Build and manage client relationships and accounts to drive the client experience
– Conduct client meetings (kick off/closing meetings) and interviews
– Formulate practical recommendations and best practices to improve business, risk, and compliance processes
– Review issues and findings discovered during testing to provide effective challenge and quality of supporting documentation
– Develop proposals and client presentations
– Assist in the development of our service offerings
– Stay up to date with industry-specific issues and emerging risks, laws, rules, and regulations
