Position Description
The Mount Madonna Center is searching for a collaborative and motivated Communications and Marketing Manager who will participate actively in a learning community dedicated to personal growth, transformation and overall wellness. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator able to connect with the organization’s stakeholders and audiences. The Communications and Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of an annual marketing plan aligned with Mount Madonna’s strategic goals, brand and expertise as a yoga and retreat center.
Responsibilities
– Develop and execute a yearly marketing plan to meet the business development and program goals of Mount Madonna.
– Manage marketing and communication staff, which includes hiring, leading, and developing a team to support the organization’s overall mission.
– Produce internal and external content for different audiences through various channels and mediums including social media, newsletters, adds and other platforms.
– Identify, monitor and measure the effectiveness of the marketing strategy. Make recommendations to boost audience reach and potential fundraising and business development opportunities.
– Manage Mount Madonna’s online presence, which includes written and visual content, on its website and social media platforms. Troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
– Work hand-in-hand with Mount Madonna teams to support communication projects such as fund-raising, program brochures, and other outreach materials.
– Keep track of major events and develop relevant content on multiple platforms, assuring consistent messaging and timely, appropriate opportunities.
– Build, create, and maintain Mount Madonna’s media relationships.
– Support organizational rebranding and the launch of a new website.
– Foster an organizational culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree or similar education/qualification in journalism, marketing, or communication-related field.
– Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
– Demonstrated ability to collaborate, manage multiple projects, and work under tight deadlines.
– Five or more years of experience in journalism, public relations or marketing.
– Knowledge of and experience with social media platforms and their use in effectively communicating with diverse audiences.
– Experience in hospitality, retreat centers, or educational institutions preferred.
– Background in yoga and/or Ayurveda recommended.
– Proficient with communication software like Google Workspace, Google Ads & Analytics, WordPress, Microsoft Office, and Zoom.
– Personal transportation required.
Salary range: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 USD Annually
