Position Description

Maximus is seeking a Clinical Manager – Nurse Practitioner to oversee the Independent Practitioner Panel, which completes assessment reviews and issues practitioners for long-term in-home care to New Yorkers. The Role is remote and may be located in any part of New York, New Jersey while supporting a Regional area in New York State. The Nurse Practitioner Manager will supervise a group of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, along with training and developing the unit staff. They will also monitor unit activities, schedules, productivity, and work product results, and ensure that all cases are completed within the service level agreement.

Responsibilities

– Supervise a designated cohort of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
– Training and developing unit staff.
– Monitor the activities, schedules, productivity, and work product results of the assigned unit.
– Ensuring that all cases are completed within the service level agreement.
– Collect QA information from assigned staff.
– Disseminate policy, protocol change, and ensure implementation.
– Lead regular team meetings.

Qualifications

– Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
– Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
– Minimum two (2) years of professional experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, with at least one (1) year of leadership experience.
– Prior experience using the UAS-NY Community assessment tool.
