Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, analyze, process, compute, and either (a) pay claims based on data, insurance filings, documentation, and reports; or (b) promptly administer payments based on plan data and documentation.
- In a prompt and accurate manner, answer all phone calls from account owners and participants. Fulfill departmental business objectives and individual service level and quality targets. Engage people proactively, consider their needs, and provide support and solutions.
- Accurately and promptly handle both financial and non-financial transactions.
- Exhibit adaptability and a focus on the team.
- Respect the terms of the plan document as well as any rules, policies, and corporate policies. Keep participant, customer, and department information private and HIPAA compliant. In charge of safeguarding, securing, and handling all private information that Ascensus holds in order to prevent unauthorized access, incorrect transmission, and/or unapproved exposure of information that can endanger Ascensus or our clients.
Essential Training and Work Experience
- It is necessary to finish AND pass the PC assessment.
- a GED or high school graduation, as well as other relevant training or comparable experience.
- Preferably bilingual (English and Spanish)
- One or more years of experience in a financial services client service role is preferred.
- Preferred is familiarity with tax-advantaged accounts, benefit programs, insurance, and/or claims and payments.
- Capacity and expertise with Microsoft Office and Excel programs, as well as benefit card or claims processing systems.
- the capacity to manage tense circumstances including pressing client needs. advanced knowledge of database systems and Excel, including formulas and formatting.
- Proficiency with computers is necessary.
- Capacity to compute percentages and add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
