Responsibilities:

Offer members, clients, and/or providers your knowledge and assistance with customer service.
Act as the point of contact for a complicated client base to oversee first response and issue resolution for both internal and external customers.

  • Determine and fix operational issues with established procedures, knowledge, and discretion.
  • Examine claims and/or customer service concerns as they arise, then let customers know how they will be resolved.
  • Provide team members comments on areas for development.

This is a rewarding and hard role. In a high-volume setting, you’ll have to solve intricate health care inquiries while modeling and representing the organization as an ambassador. In order to handle complicated and escalated issues, the inbound call center representative serves as a customer champion.

Requirements:

Essential Requirements:

  • A GED, a high school diploma, or experience comparable
  • three or more years of experience in customer service, including problem-solving and analysis
  • more than a year’s experience in healthcare
  • more than a year of experience working in a call center
  • knowledge of computers and Windows-based personal computers, including the aptitude to use and pick up new, sophisticated software
  • The ability to work any of our eight-hour shifts Monday through Friday between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm EST
  • Must be at least eighteen years old.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Telecommuting requirements and prior authorization for medical claims, as well as prior experience with them, are required.
  • Live close enough to travel to Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02215, the office.
  • Ability to maintain the security of all company-sensitive documents (if appropriate)
  • It is necessary to set up a specific workspace that is private and separate from other living spaces.
  • Must be able to use an existing high-speed internet service or get a high-speed internet connection approved by UnitedHealth Group in their place of residence
