Responsibilities

  • You will have the chance to help develop business rhythms and strategies that have a worldwide impact by working in a Consumer Sales Organization (CSO) at the confluence of customers, hardware partners, and channel partners.
  • Business Activities
  • drives the creation, development, and execution of the business rhythm. drives strategy initiatives and supports the rhythm of business (ROB); predicts business outcomes using business insights and strategy plans to inform structure. collaborates with seasoned leaders to drive results. Develops plans in collaboration with internal and/or external partners, articulating possible benefits of alliances and how they create value for both parties. sets the cadence for business reviews. provides guidance for procedures including privacy and compliance.
  • follows corporate governance by carrying out business strategies to guarantee that operations continue at all times, including under challenging circumstances. Ensures that the team has checks and balances in place to protect Microsoft’s interests when it comes to strategic alliances required for business continuity. collaborates with Microsoft’s corporate Crisis Management and Business Continuity teams to build business continuity plans and strategies.
  • leads the organization’s leadership team in the execution of the plan. uses business expertise to advance the objectives of the leader and the company. supervises and guides processes to guarantee group alignment. Establishes standards for long-term business strategy within already-running enterprises, and makes arguments for and presents business reasons to leadership. To help the team drive the execution of key priorities, communicate team priorities with leaders and agree on an acceptable level of team participation in initiatives. To help organize corporate strategy, key performance indicators (KPIs) are established in accordance with the strategy. Establishes goals in collaboration with the company, tracks progress toward them, and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Utilizes thorough understanding of organizational strategy and anticipated deliverables for the following year or years to create budgets. Identifies measures that can be taken to course-correct and promote performance improvement; supervises the development of metrics for budgeting and forecasting; foresees business difficulties based on projections and prepares plans appropriately; and contributes information to strategic investment decisions. ensures that the leader participates in or is in charge of the organizational design for headcount allocation and is in agreement with the headcount strategy.
  • Extending / Maximizing the Leader
  • oversees several workstreams while working with the leadership team, stakeholders, and (e.g., workforce planning, culture, business health). utilizes significant partnerships to move the leadership team’s agenda and assures follow-up. develops and nurtures connections with executives and leaders. As a major partner, offers leadership and important external stakeholders advice on business and industry insights. serves as the leader’s representative. provides a neutral point of view, makes sure all opinions are heard, brings ideas together, and develops an action plan to bring about alignment within partnerships.
  • Utilizes understanding of the leader’s objectives and company strategy to make sure that business actions are in line with the leader’s aims. shares the leader’s goals, objectives, and vision while the leader is not there. supports the leader and acts as a thought leader in a variety of areas (such as creating important goals, priorities, and definitions; team morale and culture; communications; budget/finance; and understanding of a particular sector or line of business). Utilizes expertise to influence the leader, the leadership team, and everyone else in the organization by combining facts to provide insights that inform business decisions. shares best practices with the Microsoft Business Management community. creates and implements organizational changes (e.g., employee data management, skilling plans, landing quota).
  • Organizational Well-Being
  • drives team culture and well-being for the leader by monitoring organizational health and leading culture initiatives (such as hiring, onboarding, and diversity and inclusion [D&I]) in collaboration with human resources. capitalizes on team strengths and pinpoints areas for improvement, planning, organizing, and carrying out trainings. Tracks Microsoft Employee Signals responses and arranges a reaction with Human Resources. increases training completion rates by monitoring the utilization of role-based compliance trainings and new trainings. ensures that the organization has a strong compliance scorecard.
  • Initiatives, Programs, and Special Projects
  • drives cross-team initiatives as required to handle complicated business requirements and the ever-changing business environment. Ensures the organization-wide implementation of strategic initiatives that call for close cooperation between various fields of study and commercial enterprises. leads strategic experimentation and innovation. clarifies unclear projects and establishes an implementation strategy.
  • Responsibility for Specialization
  • oversees communication at the executive level with various internal audiences. Creates presentations and messaging about the team’s goals, major initiatives, organizational/company strategy, and vision; presents these ideas to the team leader. aggressively seeks for pertinent information to share with the organization.

Minimum requirements for qualifications

  • a Bachelor’s degree in a comparable discipline (such as liberal arts, business administration, management, or computer science) AND 8+ years of experience in roles including finance, planning, operations, strategy, project management, human resources, or other aspects of business, OR equivalent experience.
