Take the lead in improving operational worldwide risk at Amazon.com, where we have a history of setting the standard for cutting-edge products and services. By creating reports for complex data sets, interpreting those reports, and clearly conveying their findings to all levels of leadership, this business analyst function will assist business executives in making sense of complex insurance data.
Responsibilities:
- Using Excel, SQL, Access, Tableau, and other data management tools, retrieve and analyze insurance and claim data.
- Keep an eye on current metrics, find and create new measures, and analyze them in collaboration with internal teams and outside vendors to find possibilities for process and system improvement.
- Create and deploy ad hoc and recurring/automatic reporting solutions to give leadership and stakeholders the tools they need to run the company and take wise decisions.
- Assist cross-functional teams with the ongoing implementation of new and existing programs.
- Lead small- to medium-sized operational improvement initiatives.
- Look into and put cost-cutting opportunities into practice.

For Amazon enterprises, Global Risk Management & Claims (GRMC) offers insurance and risk management knowledge, direction, and management. For third-party firms or people doing business with Amazon, the 3P Insurance and Claims Team at GRMC offers insurance and claims support.
Requirements:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a similar analytical field
- 5+ years of expertise using data visualization tools like Tableau and Excel, including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, and power pivots
- Undergraduate degree
- Knowledge of formulating needs and obtaining business insights from data and metrics
- SQL expertise Ability to persuade stakeholders and make business recommendations
- 3+ years of expertise in auto insurance claims data reporting and analytics
FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional verbal and textual communication
- The capacity to persuade potential allies
- Extensive knowledge of tools for data reporting and data visualization, such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Quicksight
