Position Description

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Billing Supervisor who can manage all billing, correspondence, and scanning-related activities. Moreover, the selected candidate will be responsible for supervising staff productivity, ensuring department objectives and will be expected to coordinate efforts with other departments to accelerate cash, reduce denials, facilitate compliant billing and improve revenue.

Responsibilities

1. Review/Update failed bills & claims on host system and within billing vendor
2. Work daily electronic 277 ’s resolving claim issue’s.
3. Work daily late charges & rebills.
4. Bill hardcopy claims attaching any needed documentation for payment.
5. Pull EOB’s and Medical Records as needed attaching to claims and mailing.
6. Contact patients, insurance, any third party for insurance information or any additional billing data.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Associate’s degree required.
2. 1-2 years of experience as a professional billing supervisor.
3. Experience in hospital operations, compliance and provider relations preferred.
4. Must have billing experience on multiple payers or a SME for one payer.
5. Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
6. Must pass typing test of 35 words per minute (error adjusted).
7. Must complete billing level 1 test and external candidate must take the revenue cycle test.
