Backend Engineer – Remote Jobs

Responsibilities:

You’ll be working with 100 engineers in QA, SRE, Frontend, and Backend. We are divided into cross-functional development teams that are tasked with working on particular verticals.

This position is open to multiple teams; during the interview process, we will choose which specific team you will be joining based on your preferences and the needs of the business.

You will be working on developing tools, APIs, and integrations for one of our products, regardless of the exact team you are on.

We used Postgres as the database and Elixir and Phoenix to build our backend. For our front end, we utilize Nextjs and React. Gitlab is utilized as a CI/CD solution, issue tracker, and version control tool. AWS serves as the host for our apps. We deploy several times a day and entirely rely on our continuous integration.

Requirements:

• Substantial backend engineering expertise, including the creation, delivery, and upkeep of a challenging software project
• Strong familiarity with Elixir and Postgres (or comparable databases)
• Proficiency in handling ambiguity and transforming abstract ideas into functional software
• the capacity for autonomous and self-directed labor
• curiosity as well as a readiness to grow and learn
• Prior experience working on Fintech or HR initiatives is advantageous.
