Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking immediate employment for a FULLY REMOTE business attorney:

• Assist the Treasury, Finance, and Tax departments with issues relating to corporate governance, banking, intercompany agreements, internal and external audits, and corporate law.
• Assist with specific initiatives, such as company restructurings, credit lines, and other corporate financings.
• Manage outside counsel and offer internal support for commercial conflicts.
• Assist Livent Commercial Counsel with a variety of international business issues, such as the assessment of sales, confidentiality, and procurement agreements.
• Regular evaluation and updating of the contract processes, templates, and procedures used by Livent.
• Assistance with real estate, business compliance, government regulations, and transportation issues.
• Advising internal clients on the legal ramifications of planned activities, contracts, and internal policies/procedures, as well as on available options, risk-reduction techniques, and conflicts.
• Support the Ethics and Compliance program by providing training on contractual procedures, intellectual property rights protection, and other corporate regulations.
• Additional tasks that may be required.

Requirements:

• A licensed attorney with at least three years’ experience in business law
• Must have writing, research, and analytical skills in law
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities (verbal, written, and listening)
• Outstanding academic qualifications and recommendations
• Experience with contract drafts
• Experience with IP Litigation preferable
• The capacity to work well under pressure in a dynamic setting, prioritize customer needs, and adjust to sudden changes while maintaining accuracy in all work done.
• Attention to detail, independence, and ability to prioritize tasks
