What you intend to do

  • Collaborates with leaders, business partners, product owners, IT architects, technical leads, and other engineers to understand requirements and design requirements based on business needs.
  • Complex desktop operating system difficulties are troubleshooted and debugged. finds and implements solutions
  • The American Airlines AVS Horizon platform is monitored, maintained, and secured.
  • VMware Horizon hosted virtual desktops can be created, deployed, and maintained.
  • Install and keep VMware Horizon hosted virtual applications up to date.

Everything you’ll need to succeed

  • Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a similar technical subject, or comparable experience/training in advanced Windows Server Administration, Cloud, or Virtualization technologies.

Education and Previous Work Experience

  • 1+ years of experience administering Windows desktop operating systems
  • 1+ years of experience with a hypervisor such as VMware
  • Using VMware Horizon to Create and Prepare Virtual Desktops
  • Changing the base image to the VDI image and optimizing it
  • Active Directory and Group Policies knowledge
  • Should preferably be familiar with VMware image and snapshot management.
  • Experience with Windows Desktop and Server operating systems
  • Self-starter with strong client-facing skills, especially communication skills
  • Should be able to solve problems, think critically, and analyze data.
