The Associate Director I will work under the Director’s leadership to support the direction of live Studio, Remote, and REMI productions by helping with the planning and timing of the show as well as the preparation and assembly of show components. Will also contribute content ideas based on evolving sports-related storylines. The ADI needs to be a good multitasker, have excellent communication skills, and be a leader.
Responsibilities:
- Timing elements, keying fonts, and organizing feeds during a production to assist the director. By giving cues and notifications to live shots, one can keep them in the loop and make sure that the audio and video levels are appropriate for broadcast.
- Associate Directors will help with the routing, papping, framing, and clearing of remote guests during Ignite/Automated productions. They will also help the director with rundown modifications and music selection for studio shows, as well as with checking codes.
- Aids in letting media know about changes to the traffic, graphics requests, music cues, and source modifications.
- Helps the director with pre-production components including billboards, promotions, teasers, graphics, special effects, and virtual images. She also organizes the production’s video and typography.
- Requesting photos and using monitor visuals to support narratives will be done in collaboration with the director and production team. will carry out studio moves with the requested elements during pre-production or discuss live execution with the director.
- By submitting paperwork (FrameStores, IFBs, booking windows) to Audio and Transmission/VCC, visitors’ locations (remote and studio) are confirmed.
- Works on unique graphics and animations for speciality shows alongside the designated lead Directors.
- Takes part in meetings with production to help design the show’s visual content.
- Help with PCR setup, including the communications and monitoring construct, is provided to the director, producer, and coordinating producer.
- Helps the Producer and Director of REMI productions manage the tasks and traffic associated with the games. Ensures that the game and control room remain in sync by speaking with various roles directly, such as the timeout coordinator or red hat. creates cards with editorial, sales, and promotion material for on-air talent to read. conducts the preproduction meeting.
- Possesses the expertise and capacity to oversee studio-related productions both locally and remotely when a business need arises.
- Aids in training younger Associate Directors. gives them feedback to support their progress and documents to Management in writing. Written criticism should be considerate, thorough, and supported by precise, illustrative examples.
- Proactively pursues their own growth through individual instruction and observation. acquires knowledge of additional roles, tools, and equipment in the control room and studio as they relate to the Associate Director position.
- Practices and upholds the Directing Department performance standards as they relate to leadership, communication, operations, personal growth, and productions. Consistently carries out all job-related responsibilities. In all interactions and decisions, demonstrates outstanding leadership skills.
Requirements:
- The production of television must be thoroughly understood.
- Verbal communication abilities that are precise, succinct, and thorough.
- Rapid-thinking capacity under pressure.

Preferable credentials include:
- Experience in production for at least three years, or network equivalent, is preferred.
- Preferably with directing experience.
- Language proficiency in both Spanish and English is preferred.
Education necessary:
- Minimum of a high school diploma
