It is the duty of the Admissions Advisor to counsel and advise potential students by phone, email, and chat platforms. This position delivers accurate information on academic programs, application requirements, and enrollment procedures by using the university’s admissions process. Throughout the student’s stay at Purdue University Global, s/he also gives them any information on admissions while upholding the greatest standards of ethics in customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Help students with the admissions process by providing them with guidance and advice. You should also assist in gathering the necessary paperwork for admissions before the start of the first term.
  • Interview potential students and assess each one according to needs, wants, interests, credentials, drives, and commitments.
  • Provide candidates with reliable, independently verified information in the appropriate context so they can decide for themselves whether or not to enroll at Purdue University Global.
  • As required by Purdue University Global and the Department of Education, be aware of, uphold, adhere to, and comply with all applicable corporate, state, and federal regulatory standards and policies for admissions.
  • Stay in constant communication with the student and give them the best possible service during their time at Purdue Global.
  • Give the student accurate and timely information about academic programs, application and enrollment requirements, and any information pertaining to admissions.
  • It is your responsibility to stay up to date on program modifications and to engage in career and self-improvement programs.
  • Ensuring that prospective students have reasonable expectations for their course of study is achieved by closely following the Admissions criteria.
  • Comply with all the guidelines outlined in the Purdue University Global Admissions Code of Conduct document and behave morally and honorably, above reproach.
  • To improve the admissions process and foster a team-oriented environment, facilitate interdepartmental communications between Academics, Financial Aid, Student Services, and Admissions.
  • Make ensuring that during the admissions process, sufficient, accurate, and timely student records are established, maintained, and sent to other departments as needed.
  • Help fellow admissions staff members with regular and sporadic tasks as delineated by your manager, and carry out additional responsibilities as delegated by admissions administration.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree.
  • Experience in customer service, call centers, sales, or admissions. Preference given to outbound call center experience.
  • Capacity to operate in a fast-paced, metrics-driven, performance-measured workplace.
  • Outstanding planning and written/verbal communication abilities
  • Must be results-oriented, extremely motivated, self-starting, and environment-adaptable.
  • Must be flexible enough to work some weekends and/or evenings in order to accommodate business demands.
