Position Description
Clearcover is a thriving technology start-up focused on disrupting the insurance market. We are seeking an Actuarial Manager to support the development and maintenance of Clearcover insurance products while ensuring sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
The Actuarial Manager will lead processes that support core actuarial functions, as well as unit economic modeling. They will support multi-state expansion, including rate development and filings and technology support. The Actuarial Manager will also analyze and provide recommendations on segmented product pricing enhancements and offer regulatory support. The Manager will contribute to analytical projects to continuously enhance business, collaborate effectively with a peer network across all functional areas and execute state launches with well-crafted written communications for both internal and external audiences.
Qualifications
The Actuarial Manager should have successfully completed three CAS actuarial examinations and have seven or more years of relevant work experience. The Manager should have technical abilities in R/SQL/Python/Excel, strong communication skills, the ability to challenge the status quo, and strong decision-making and relationship-building skills. They should also align with Clearcover core values.
