A seasoned and meticulous accountant is needed by Karpatkey to expand our staff. The chosen individual will be instrumental in creating a scalable accounting function.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the books and carrying out regular accounting tasks (AR/AP, Crypto asset cost-basis, etc.) include processing and accurately reconciling all transactions;
• Implement internal controls and safeguards to ensure that company assets, authorized expenditure payments, contractual commitments, and company policies are all being followed;
• Financial statements to be prepared;
• Assist in creating financial projections and budgets, and instruct teams on how to distribute and plan budgets;
• Serve as our company’s principal point of contact with our external tax consultants and auditors and manage these connections to uphold adherence to accounting standards and laws and guarantee readiness for due diligence;
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management by working with other departments to ensure that accurate and timely financial information is accessible to support company decisions.

Requirements:

• An accounting or comparable subject bachelor’s degree;
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, including start-up experience;
• A working knowledge of a DAO, blockchain firm, or DeFi;
• Strong familiarity with accounting principles and procedures, as well as accounting system experience;
• An independent thinker with the drive to develop scalable new methods and the capacity to assume responsibility for all accounting duties;
• Good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; superb accuracy and attention to detail;
• Full professional proficiency in English;
• A want to learn more about DeFi and Web3.
