Developing and expanding Tempus connections with pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients to help them advance their research, clinical, and/or commercial programs is the account executive’s responsibility. The Tempus precision medicine platform, which combines data, AI, sequencing, and clinical trials, is essential for large-scale drug discovery in the future when everyone will benefit from personalized medicine. Tempus stakeholders will collaborate cross-functionally with the Associate Key Account Director to designate Tempus as the Precision Medicine Partner for their accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Determine which biopharma firms have high-potential customers based on compatibility with Tempus offerings and commercial strategy.
- Reach out to life sciences company executives to initiate conversations about partnerships.
- Determine the demands of the customer and present the Tempus product lines’ value proposition clearly.
- In collaboration with Key Account Directors, scientific teams, and business operations teams, assist in the creation of the global account strategy.
- Help accounts achieve and surpass revenue targets for all Tempus product lines while assisting in the accomplishment of predetermined strategic goals for particular client accounts.
- Assist Key Account Directors in contract negotiations, acquisition, and management with designated client accounts.
- Organize the multidisciplinary group of product experts, alliance managers, translational researchers, and commercial operations to find and provide value for our clients as quickly as possible.
- Assist in the growth of the Life Sciences portfolio by giving Leadership input on client comments and suggestions; always have an eye toward finding solutions.
- About 20% of working hours are spent traveling, both domestically and abroad.

Requirements:

Experience
- At least three years’ experience in sales or business development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries
- Ideally two or more years of experience working in research and development, real-world data, or molecular diagnostics for Life Sciences firms
- A track record of successfully developing close relationships with customers; knowledge of molecular diagnostics, real-world data, and the life sciences drug development process
- a bachelor’s or higher degree in business or science
