After the first prospect/onboarding and stability phase, Account Executives are in charge of maintaining and growing their book of business through the use of solution-selling, conventional and digital prospecting techniques, and long-term strategic customer relationships. The main responsibilities include prospecting, building relationships with purchasing decision makers in functional areas like Information Technology, Facilities, Procurement, Finance, and more, and using expert knowledge of features and products to create a customized solution for each institution (feature adoption).
Responsibilities:
The Account Executive will guarantee that suggested solutions satisfy our client’s procurement requirements and will suggest methods and substitutes that suit their setting, including but not restricted to public institution-specific contracting and competitive requirements, advanced payment, and automated reconciliation procedures. The candidate will oversee deployment and make sure that our solutions are successfully implemented by collaborating closely with customers. The ideal applicant will have a track record of exceeding program objectives and revenue targets, along with applicable consultative sales expertise.
10% of the work for this inside sales position includes travel, primarily to customer meetings and trade events.
Principal duties of the position
- Start your lead creation and prospecting efforts.
- Helping clients register and giving them tours of Amazon Business accounts after they’re registered
- Reach or surpass goals for adopting client spend and acquiring new customers.
- Networking and educating important relationships in the prospect and customer space
- Communicate market demands and specifications to the Product Management, Technical, and Category Management teams at Amazon.com.
- Promote client satisfaction
Collaborate closely with key Amazon internal stakeholders in marketing, merchandising, business development, and customer service.

Requirements:
PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS
- A BA/BS degree or comparable professional background
- More than three years in B2B sales
- Successful track record of locating, creating, negotiating, and closing deals at a variety of client engagement levels
- A track record of effectively positioning and pitching solutions to both current and potential clients and market niches
DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with pitching to supply chain and/or procurement positions
- Five plus years of sales experience interacting with senior leadership of Fortune 5000.
- Competent usage of other systems, CRMs (such as Salesforce.com), and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess a background in customer-facing communication, such as facilitating online or in-person meetings, product demos, or training sessions.
- Proven ability to recognize, rank, cultivate, and expand a portfolio of Fortune 500 key clientele
- Proven ability to recognize, rank, cultivate, and expand a 200–300 strategic customer account book
