The person in this job will be part of the US Commercial Portfolio Intake, Prioritization, and Orchestration team, which is in charge of managing key parts of bringing new Products/Solutions, Programs, and Services to the market. This includes the responsibility to understand and evaluate the goals and needs of different projects. Take charge of pilots, “test and learn” sessions, and other projects. Watch over the evaluation of in-flight pilots to help develop products.

The person in charge will organize and oversee multiple work groups, create and manage integrated work plans, track progress toward goals, build and maintain cross-functional, matrixed relationships with business and IT, report risks and find possible solutions, and give clear and timely status updates and communications that are tailored to the right stakeholder audiences. The person in charge will also set up and lead several work groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead assessments of impact (teams, costs) and feasibility (capabilities, timelines).
  • Lead the creation of project/delivery plans for business/operational readiness by using established project and program methodology.
  • Oversee the development of end-to-end processes, site readiness, staffing, training, standard operating procedures (SOPs), communications, change management, contingency planning, etc. for all business areas affected.
  • Make and keep track of work plans that take into account priorities, key milestones, time estimates, task sequencing, and tasks that can be done at the same time to reach goals.
  • Find and build relationships with project sponsors and key stakeholders to set project goals and objectives and keep track of their progress. As needed, coach senior executives on the roles and responsibilities of the project sponsor and key stakeholders to make sure the project is successful.
  • Partner with organizations in a matrix to make sure that the right steps are taken to find and implement initiatives. In particular, build and keep strong relationships with IT leaders to work together and help IT processes with projects that need IT support.
  • Develop and keep an eye on the business teams that will be affected during delivery execution.
  • Make sure the project scope stays the same and that any changes are communicated to and understood by all key stakeholders.
  • Make sure that all deliverables within their scope are made and shared on time and to a high standard.
  • Find obstacles that make it hard or impossible to reach project goals and work to get rid of them.
  • Manage the risks and dependencies that come with the timing, capacity, and trade-offs of delivery.
  • Solve problems and figure out backup plans and risk triggers. As needed, bring problems to the attention of the right people, such as key business leaders and team members.
  • Make sure the right tools are used to track and monitor how projects are doing financially.
  • Be a good role model and a person who brings about change.
  • Develop and put in place ways to communicate and report so that issues, risks, and the timely delivery of initiative results can be managed.
  • Evaluate the status of the project and how the resources are being used. Make changes to help the team work better.
  • Help and guide the program managers on the team who have less experience.
  • Take charge of medium to large projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but at least a high school diploma is needed.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience in both business and technology.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the health care field.
  • Preferably, you should have SAFe® Certification, PMI Certification, and/or Six Sigma training.
  • Project management skills and success have been shown.
  • Self-directed and able to lead a group of professionals from different organizations.
  • Detail-oriented, with proven skills in setting priorities, managing time, and staying organized (including the ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards).
  • Ability to put together and implement solutions for complex problems that meet the needs of the global matrix.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, accept change and help others see it as an opportunity, and stay focused on goals while adapting to change.
  • Ability to work well in a heavily matrixed, team-based environment that is dynamic and changes quickly.
  • Ability to lead teams from different departments and get things done quickly.
  • Strong skills at persuasion and giving talks. Ability to talk with peers and senior leaders about how to solve business problems in a way that everyone can agree on.
  • Excellent skills with people, consulting, and managing relationships. Ability to get people to work together, see things from other people’s points of view, and get support and buy-in for organizational ideas.
  • Strategist and creative thinker who can think outside the box and turn plans into actions, requirements, and ways to put them into action.
  • She has great oral and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate on different levels depending on who you are talking to.

We expect to pay between 99,200 and 165,300 USD per year for this job, depending on experience, location, and other factors.

It is also likely that this role will be eligible for an annual bonus plan.
