Responsibilities:
As a member of the Web Engineering team, you’ll be working in a fast-paced atmosphere with the goal of creating new products and platforms for American Express consumers. Modern software development processes should be familiar to you, and you should be able to quickly iterate on ideas despite ambiguity.
- Drive user story analysis, feature grooming, solutioning, and the creation of in-depth features and test cases to support an agile team.
- Make sure the program is really easy to use by carefully manual testing.
- Work together to plan, test, and release top-notch app features with the product team, development team, and backend teams.
- Aids in the estimation and evaluation of a feature’s viability.
- Follow and promote standardized growth processes that are constant.
- Assist with software builds as a part of an agile team by using standardized development techniques (tools, shared components, and documentation).
- Increased independence should be shown in order to meet team objectives.
- Participate in automated testing and code reviews.
- Debug basic software components and locate errors in the code that need to be fixed.
- Make it possible for software to be deployed, supported, and tracked across test, integration, and production environments.
- Deployments in test or live settings can be automated.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field, and between two and five years of technical experience in a software development business.
- 2+ years of significant JavaScript and React programming experience.
- Possessing knowledge of micro front-end architecture.
- Able to show mastery of the DOM and foundations of web programming.
- Building applications with responsive and adaptive user interfaces.
- React, Redux, Angular, HTML5, and Node knowledge are required.
- Having knowledge of unit testing and automated testing (Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library).
- working knowledge of the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment and its frameworks
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of SCRUM, an agile software development technique.
- Has experience with a range of distributed infrastructure technologies.
- Effectively handles unclear or poorly defined problems; capable of abstract thought.
- The capacity to adapt in a setting that is continually changing.
Preferred Requirements
- 1+ years of Angular 12+ experience
- REST API development experience in Java and/or.NET for at least one year.
- An advantage would be CI/CD programming knowledge.
Salary: $85,000 to $150,000 per year, with bonuses and benefits
