In order to contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions for creative professionals, video creators, and visual storytellers, the Video Apps team is seeking a software QA engineer with experience in testing iOS, macOS, and cloud-based apps as well as a passion for video editing.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of expertise testing software, with knowledge of iOS, macOS, and cloud-based applications
• Strong familiarity with the software development lifecycle, testing techniques, and QA terms and procedures
• Knowledgeable of at least one contemporary web framework, such as React, Angular, or Ember
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and NoSQL data systems like Cassandra
• Editing knowledge in photos, videos, and films is a plus
• Talents in regression, isolation, and bug detection
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences of various skill levels while being able to abstract technical details
• Exceptional technical knowledge and comprehension of system interdependencies and how they affect test strategies
• Problem-solver who is meticulous, curious, persistent, and dedicated to advancing quality
• Possess the ability to manage many tasks at once and adhere to deadlines
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities (oral and written)
• Can take software feature descriptions and requirements and extract user scenarios, turning them into efficient test plans and cases.

Knowledge & Experience

• A computer science bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience are necessary.
• Database administration Understanding of UX principles Framework/API Knowledge of scripting languages (Swift, Python, Javascript, etc.)
• Experience with CloudKit testing is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

You will have little guidance in this position as you plan, develop, create, write, maintain, and run test cases. Your capacity for independent testing devoid of scripts and tools will be crucial. The secret to your success will be using excellent isolation and regression procedures when reporting defects. This position will depend on your ability to balance a wide range of deliverables and manage priorities while effectively and methodically conveying progress and dangers.
