Position Description:
As an Underwriting Assistant for an Industry-Leading International Commercial Insurance Institution, you will be dealing with top National and State-Wide firms as well as High-Profile Customers. Underwriting Assistance
- Assist the Underwriters in providing an effective and efficient administrative service.
- Assist Underwriters and other personnel with pre-underwriting and rating issues.
- Ensure timely and correct data input and risk documents scanning onto all systems within agreed-upon service standards.
- Checking the agreed-upon percentage of risk entries as needed.
- Data validation, integrity, and accuracy.
- Photocopying, logging and scanning quotations and declinations, filing, archiving, and scanning are all services provided.
- Engage with other teams, for example. Claims, Finance, Compliance, Management Services, and other underwriting teams on issues affecting or relating to portfolio accounts.
- Assist other underwriting assistants in meeting their service/quality levels and targets to help maintain team standards.
- Give the management team and underwriters with reliable management information.
- When needed, create ad hoc reports, presentations, and marketing materials for managers, underwriters, and other staff members.
- Provide brokers with professional service in person, in writing, via email, and over the phone.
- Manage and develop essential relationships with brokers and external clients, responding to client inquiries accurately and on time.
- As needed, attend client meetings.
