Responsibilities:
The skilled MA is a crucial partner in our Health Centers and provides back office support to the clinicians in the preparation for, examination of, and treatment of patients.
- Welcome and register patients at the medical facilities by confirming their insurance and eligibility and completing the necessary paperwork.
- Takes vital signs, gets the patient’s history, and helps in care coordination.
- Dispenses medicine
- Sets up the examining room
- Follows process to sterilize and clean the instrument
- In accordance with departmental policies, answer the phone. Determine the call’s nature, then route it appropriately. Take precise and understandable messages if necessary.
- Make appointments and confirm membership in accordance with different benefit coverage
- With patients, go over printed instructions
- Participates in department staff meetings and training sessions
- Cross-trains for new departments and processes.
- Aids in introducing new hires and temporary pool staff to their duties.
Responsibilities:
- CCMA-eligible MA program graduate or on-the-job training candidate
- BCLS current required
- Experience in front and back offices of at least one year
- Strong computer abilities, including knowledge of electronic medical records
- Requires outstanding customer service abilities

Please be aware that until our new clinic in Delray opens in April, this position will be based in our health centers in West Palm Beach and Wellington.
