This job as a bookkeeper will be a permanent position in the Rochester, New York region. The function of a bookkeeper includes managing accounts receivable, month-end closing, accounts payable, and reconciliation.
The Bookkeeper will additionally maintain a general ledger reconciliation, carry out data entry, light journal entries, cash applications, and full cycle A/P coding. Interested?
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Capable of managing and reconciling credit cards
- Prepare any necessary IRS year-end documents, including subcontractor 1099 forms.
- Control the month-end accounting close.
- Manage the accounts payable
- Put together cash flow predictions as necessary.
- Create monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and all other supplemental paperwork.
- If necessary, additional specific projects
- Keeps track of sales tax payments, produces them, and files them on a quarterly basis.
Maintaining the monthly accounting close
- Control payable accounts.
Requirements:
- Self-starter with the capacity to spot difficulties and find solutions
- Proven organizational abilities
- Outstanding organizational, analytical, and vendor management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to take criticism in stride
- Preferable: Progression in accounting, including experience as a bookkeeper
- Basic understanding of Cash Flow Reports
- Accounts Payable expertise (AP)
- Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is preferred
- A thorough understanding of bank reconciliations
- Demonstrated expertise in monthly revenue
- Revenue Analysis Experience
- Solid understanding of Comprehensive Expense Reports
- Powerful communication, leadership, and analytical abilities
