Position Description:

In order to support the newly developed Procurement function with eHealth, a new position is being created. To fill it, we need someone who is confident and eager to build new relationships with business partners and persuasively sell the value that procurement and sourcing bring to their organizations.

Responsibilities

• Set the category sourcing strategy in collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing Leadership and utilize all expenditures to control the category’s overall expenses while upgrading vendor services to satisfy the category’s constantly changing needs.
• Assist in developing the sourcing strategy in collaboration with business partners and the procurement leadership to meet and address company requirements.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with eHealth’s strategic suppliers. Assist in starting, leading, and carrying out all actions related to analyzing, choosing, negotiating, and putting into effect preferred supplier contracts.
• Assist in contract negotiations and management for designated business partners, making sure that terms are compliant with standards and that extensions, modifications, and terminations are handled on time.
• Establish and implement sourcing strategies within the department by carrying out data analysis, contracting, data entry, reporting, research, and other tasks.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, supply chain management, or a closely related field of study, or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience
• 5+ years of expertise in strategic sourcing or a related field is preferred.
• prior experience in project management.
• effective written and vocal communication abilities.
• Ability to interact and manage various tasks and goals while remaining highly organized while working in a matrix environment
• adept at using the Microsoft Office package.
• PBM and medical experience
• knowledge of sourcing IT-related expenditures.
• knowledge of eSourcing software programs.
• knowledge of healthcare industry vendor contracting requirements (e.g., HIPAA, accreditation agencies, etc.).
• knowledge of freshly established procurement and sourcing departments.
