Support the financial closure, planning, and forecasting processes in a way that helps Aetna Medicare reach its financial and strategic objectives. Such actions influence the level of P&L/cost center owner reporting quality and integrity, as well as membership and/or expense projections, product reporting, and balance sheet reporting. To support management’s assessment of strategic and business activities, financial analyses and recommendations need to be provided. The MAPD Individual membership will be a major focus of this role.
The $35 billion Medicare Advantage business, which provides a sizable contribution margin and potential future growth for Aetna, is supported by this position.
Responsibilities:
- IDV membership projection, budget, and strategic plan process lead help. Building models, applying data and assumptions, analyzing data, and reporting are all responsibilities.
- Organize, support, and/or develop monthly membership close requests.
- For membership questions and ad-hoc reporting requests, the business unit’s subject matter expert in charge of support.
Pay Suffix
In general, this position pays between:
- 43,700 minimum
- 100,000 maximum
Please keep in mind that this range indicates the range of salaries for all positions in the job grade that this position belongs to. The actual compensation offer will consider a number of variables, including geography.
Requirements:
Necessary qualifications
- 3+ years of FP&A and/or financial reporting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of healthcare insurance
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
- Knowledge of Tableau, Hyperion, and/or SAP Analysis for Office
- Having built models and created tools for variance analysis
- The capacity to interact with management and present information
- Knowledge of project management
Education: requires a bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
